Monday Nights at Bethany and SPACE
Our Monday night dances this calendar will be held at Bethany United Church of Christ in Chicago, with the April 20th dance in Evanston at SPACE.

Fermilab
The Fermilab dances are held from September — June at the Kuhn Village Barn on the grounds of Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois.   For more information check out the Fermilab Folkclub web site or call 630-761-0599

English Country Dances

Guest & Local Talent ~ Monday Nights

June 1st  (Bethany)  — Fiddler Aubrey Swift returns to the Monday night stage, leading the Grand Ole Aubrey Band in a selection of mellow and grooving old-time tunes.  Paul Watkins calls contras and squares.

June 8th   (Bethany)  —  Come say goodbye to University of Chicago fiddler Heather Cole-Mullen before she sets off on her post-graduation adventures.  She brings a collection of musical friends for a night of Irish-inspired contra dance music.  Meg Dedolph calls.

June 15th  (Bethany)  — It's the vigorous old-time music of White Mule, with fiddler Genevieve Harrison, banjo player Smith Koester and guitarist Kevin McKenna.  Come out for a night of exciting dancing with caller Bill Sudkamp's contras and squares.

June 22nd  (S.P.A.C.E.)  —  Dr. Hojka's Medicine Show, featuring fiddlers Jordan Wankoff and Michelle Steinman and pianist Walter H., provides old-time tunes for a night of piano-propelled dancing.  Jo Mortland calls a selection of contras and squares to keep you thinking (and dancing).

June 29th   (Bethany)  — Celtic music's newest power trio, the Cosmic Otters, with Jonathan Whitall and Edward Wallace on twin fiddles and Meg Dedolph on guitar, take the stage for a night of Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian and original tunes for contra dancing.  Rachel Shapiro calls.

July 6th   (Bethany)  — Dance to the blazing fiddling of Joe Samojedney and friends when Joe, Sam and Jerry uncork some of their finest old-time tunes for dancing.  Eric Zorn calls contras and squares.

July 13th   (The Abbey Pub)  — Come fly with the Flyboys, featuring some combination of Paul Tyler, Fred Campeau, Jordan Wankoff and Bill Taylor, with special guests and beloved musical friends, playing old-time music for contras and squares.  The fluorescent Tom Senior calls.

July 20th  (S.P.A.C.E.)  — The dynamic duo of pianist Patt Plunkett and fiddler Charlie "Possum" Walden provide an eclectic mix of fiddle tunes, ranging from old-time to New England-style for dancing.  Bill Sudkamp calls.

July 27th   (Bethany)  — Enjoy an evening of dancing with caller Lisa Ornstein and the Money Creek Boys, led by fiddler Fred Campeau, providing a night of smooth-flowing old-time tunes.
